I have been missing here for a some time. While finishing my MFA at Kansas state university, I have made a lot of friends and even made a family. I think of myself as a hybrid, mainly because of my mixed background and continued engagements with other traditions. I guess everyone in this world these days can claim to be some sort of a hybrid.
Well I am doing a lot of digital paintings of hybrid creatures, just to play around with the ideas. My academic research has also taken this turn and I am loving it too. I hope you enjoy the works that come out of this exploration. Here is a concept sketch. I hope to upload more work in progress soon.
